Anycasting rod from 6 to 7.5 ft in a medium to medium-heavy would be Ideal. KastKing has both all-purpose and species-specific rods that will match your reel perfectly.

 *Each reel is a little bit different, but the basics are the same. Here are the tips recommend to keep your reel working correctly:

• Every so often while fishing, spray reels with freshwater or dunk in a bucket of freshwater
• Gently wipe dry to remove excess salt buildup.
• After fishing, cut away the section of the fishing line used that day.
• Remove the reel from the rod, carefully rinse your reels with fresh water
• Wipe down with a cotton cloth.
• Oil witch special reel lubricants
